HCL Tech announces Rs.3,500cr share buyback @ 17 % premium

Country’s fourth largest software services firm HCL Technologies today said it will buy back shares at Rs. 1,000 apiece, a 17 percent premium over current trading price.

The company is proposing an offer for buyback of equity shares for cash at a price of Rs 1,000 per equity shares on a proportionate basis through tender offer process, HCL Technologies said in a regulatory filing.

The Indian firm, which uses a digital platform to provide information, said the breach includes swathes of personal information, including email addresses and hashed passwords.
Payment-related information is safe as it was stored separately, Zomato said.
The firm said it had reset the passwords of affected users and logged them out of the app and the website.
More than 120 million users visit Zomato – an online and mobile service offering restaurant and nightlife information, including menus and photographs in countries around the world -every month.
The firm said it had “recently” discovered that 17 million email addresses and hashed passwords had been stolen from its database.

AURANGABAD Engineering exam racket busted, 26 students including  girls arrested


The city police in the early hours of Wednesday busted a racket involving rewriting of engineering answer book and arrested 26 engineering college students including three girl students from the residence of a Shiv Sena corpoprator Sitaram Sure.
Following a tip-off, the crime branch of the city police raided the corporator’s residence to find engineering students writing their answers.

Aurangabad commissioner of police Yashasvi Yadav told  “The operation started post-midnight and the engineering students along with a couple of professors have been arrested. In addition to this, the engineering college president and the corporator have also been arrested.”
Crime branch sleuths maintained that the arrested engineering students belong to Sai Institute of Engineering and Technology and studying in second year. When caught they were rewriting the answer sheets of the subject `Building Construction and Design’.
